Karsch & Wildings used w/ “Kodak Perfins” – not your typical perfins.
These stamps were purportedly used on the film mailers that were sent in for developing & printing. Apparently the receiving firm perforated the incoming envelopes/stamps with an id number (and presumably the negatives) in order to keep track of the film through the process. I would love to know more about these if anyone has more information.
Regular perfins were applied in advance of the stamps being used for mailing, in order to discourage theft and unauthorized use. These are different.
