1928 – 12 x 1c Green Admiral Coil Stamps, Unitrade 131 (6 pairs) on Registered Cover from the Post Office Dept. Ottawa to U.S.A.
Fantastic use of the 1c coils February 24, 1928 paying the 2c letter rate plus 10c registration rate to the U.S.A.
Two of the coil pairs (1st and 5th) show paste-up remnants on the bottom of each pair.
Note two different registration handstamps, the conventional rectangular one as well as the “keyhole” style at UL. Also a “Financial Branch, Feb 24 1928, O.S. No. 2, P.O. Dept.” square handstamp at left. Lowell, Mass, receiving cancel dated Feb 25, 1928 on back.
Some minor wrinkles and a ding on the LL corner but otherwise good condition. Stamps range from VG to fine centering.
