Writer had just arrived at Port de Matane Aug 5, 1916 and notes that the ship has not finished discharging ballast and that there was not enough water to dock at the wharf. Also laments that he can’t speak the language… Matane CDS is dated Au 1, 1916 which conflicts with the date written by the writer on the card.
