I find it difficult to focus on stamps in the Summer months. The weather today, and for the foreseeable future in SW Ontario, makes it a little easier so I just listed about 50 booklets from the time period 1998 to 2005. Many of these lots have the glued flap (from the post office field stock) as well as the open cover or non-glued flap (from the Philatelic Centre). For the most part Unitrade catalogues them at the same value.
As I listed BK301a I added a comment that this is where I lost interest in Canadian Booklets. It was with BK 302 in 2004 that Canada Post issued a series with 25 different cover designs…..
To put things in to perspective here is a breakdown / summary of the booklet catalogue numbers over the years:
1900 – 1966 BK 1 to 53 or 53 booklets in 66 years (just under 1 per year)
1967 – 1989 BK 54 to 109 or 56 booklets in 12 years (just over 4 per year)
1990 – 1993 BK 110 to 165 or 56 booklets in 3 years (almost 20 per year)
And since 1994 to 2020 there are 582 booklets listed !!!
Quite a challenge for anyone who might be up to it.
I will be listing another group from the 1980s to 1990’s in the next few days.
As always please feel free to contact me with your want list(s).
